Workshops: Teleconference and Chat
- One on one coaching would be great, but is there anything more affordable?
- I wish I could listen in on other writers?questions, that’s the best way for me to learn.
- Do you ever facilitate writers?groups?
- I always feel energized after a good discussion with other people who are writing.
- There aren’t any writers?workshops in my area, how can I meet other writers?
The Answer is a Click Away
Solitude is both a friend and an enemy for most writers. When I was starting out, I worked hard to buy myself time to write, but when I got it, I was often lonely. Technology has provided a solution. It began with list-serves via email, and then widened to blogs, social media, and a plethora of websites with both discussion boards and real time chat. The solution has created new problems: distraction and filtering. It’s easy to get a break from writing and become absorbed in the plentiful offerings online. It's easy to find advice at every turn. But how do you winnow out the fluff? That's where I come in.
No Longer Alone
After years of teaching and workshops in 3D, I am excited about the potential of the internet. I have been in contact with people from the east coast to the west in Canada and the U.S., across Europe, the Middle-East, Australia and New Zealand through online chat. Now that technology enables me to broaden the scope of what I can offer to aspiring writers. Anyone anywhere in the world can participate in my workshops. Whether as a complement to one on one coaching, or as an economical alternative, guided discussion with other writers is informative, supportive, and energizing. I find it humbling to realize what technology can do and a privilege to use it to cheer on other people on the writer's journey.
